How can I save my progress?
In Temple Run 2, game data can be saved to either the Google Play Games or iCloud/Game Center services that are relative to the player’s device. Have the player check their device setting menu to verify that they are signed into the cloud service and Temple Run 2 should automatically save progress to their cloud account at the end of each run. If they are using the Google Play Games service, please check the settings menu within Temple Run 2 to ensure that the Play Games option is switched ON.
Please note that currency and streak progress do not save to the Cloud services at this time. Contact support@imangistudios.com for help restoring/transferring currency and streak.
How can I buy items from the Store menu?
To make in-game purchases with real money, please ensure that you are signed in to a Google Play Games or Apple ID account that has a form of payment saved.
How can I delete my progress to start over?
Temple Run and/or Temple Run 2 game data cannot be reset if the player is signed into a Cloud service. The only way to reset data would be to completely delete their Cloud account which would affect not only the Temple Run games progress but ALL data that has been stored with their Cloud account. We do not recommend taking this action unless they are absolutely okay with losing other games/photos/documents/etc that were stored in the same Cloud service at their own risk
If you have never saved your game data to a Cloud service, then your game data is only being stored locally to the device that is being used to play this game. If you delete the game, all of the TR2 data will be deleted and reset back to the start if you decide to reinstall again.
How can I remove Ads?
To remove ads in Temple Run 2, we recommend purchasing the “No Ads - Ad Removal” option that is available in the Store menu.
When will my game update?
To monitor stability, we release Temple Run 2 in waves before the new content becomes available worldwide. Do not uninstall your current game, as this will cause local data (currency and streak) to be lost. If your friend has a new update on their device but you don’t see the update on your own device just yet, please check your app store again in a day or two.
Why is my game lagging/frozen?
Lagging/Freezing could be due to strain on the device’s RAM. Please try closing all other apps that may be running in the background, and connect the device to a strong WiFi network before reopening Temple Run 2.
When will new objectives be added to Temple Run 2?
Level 14 is the last level currently available in Temple Run 2. We hope to add new objectives and levels in future updates.
How can I skip objectives?
Objectives are queued up based on the player's current level in Temple Run 2 and cannot be skipped.
How can I buy Pirate Cove, Spirits Cove, Bruce Lee, Usain Bolt, etc. with gems?
Pirate Cove and Spirits Cove are considered premium content in Temple Run 2, with “Gold Edition” bundles that contain an extended version of the map that has eight different zones and exclusive characters and/or outfits. These maps cannot be purchased with gems (the freemium in-game currency), however, we frequently offer their free preview versions that have limited zones so that players experience a portion of the map.
Due to contractual reasons with the athlete and/or their estate, the Bruce Lee and Usain Bolt characters cannot be sold for gems or coins.
I have an idea for a game but I need help. Can Imangi Studios make it for me?
Although we welcome feedback and suggestion on ways we can improve the Temple Run experience for our players, we do not accept commissions for new games projects. Instead, we encourage players/fans to utilize online forums, tutorials, or other resources in their local community to help create their ideas.
Can I rearrange or delete characters that I don’t use?
At this time, there is no way to rearrange or delete characters from the Runner selection menu, however, we are considering having added this feature in the future.
How can I make real money while playing Temple Run?
Although it would be pretty awesome to earn money while playing your favorite game, Temple Run is not a competitive esport or real money-making style of game.
Where can I get a real golden idol?
The real golden idols were manufactured for a press release kit only sent to content creators to help promo a major Temple Run 2 update a few years ago. Those idols were never mass-produced for retail purposes and are no longer in production.
Where is Temple Run 3?
Although we appreciate the enthusiasm and anticipation for a new addition in the Temple Run universe, “Temple Run 3” is not on available at this time.
